Description

Enchanter pets (animations) appear as a floating shield and weapon and are weaker than the pets of Magicians, Necromancers, and Beastlords. An enchanter cannot have an active pet and a charmed pet at the same time.

It's often beneficial to debuff a mobs magic resistance (since all charm spells are magic based) before attempting to charm in order to more effectively charm the mob. Increasing your charisma is of prime importance to ensure that your charm spell is not resisted.
