Council Assistant - Until Death Us Do Part

A gnoll priestess asks you to hunt down her plague-ridden husband and bring him his final peace. Go to Eastern Badlands by Heartland's zone in. Find and kill Lord Rotfang obtain Rotfang's Head. It might take a number of clears before he spawns. Turn the head in to priestess. Return the reward staff to the priestess for a good alignment adjustment and to complete the quest.

Note: This quest is functionally the same as Lord Rotfang's Rest.

a gnoll priestess says, 'Bark! Hail, <Player Name>! Please come to our village in peace, it is our way. Do not mistake us for our cousins in the depths of the Maw, or the violent plaguewind that roam the badlands.'

You say, 'Who are these plaguewind you speak of?'

a gnoll priestess says, 'In truth, the Plaguewind Gnolls that live along the shores of the Bad River were once of our tribe, and their homes ours. This was until the plague took them, and we were forced to flee lest we be afflicted as well, or slain by one of our former friends or lovers taken by the incessent rot. Bark! My husband was among those taken by the plague. He now rules over them, under a new name, in insane and decaying worship of the Lord of Plague. Each day I miss him and pray that he would be freed of the horrible specter of life that now upholds his body. Perhaps one day the Ocean Lord will listen.'

Gather and give Rotfang's Head to a gnoll priestess.

a gnoll priestess says, 'The Ocean Lord has heard my prayers at last. I thank you, <Player Name>. Here, take this. I would reward you better, but this is all I have to give. If only I could prepare myself to join him in the final rest... Bark! But there is too much work to do. There is more yet to be done with the plaguewind.'

Return to A gnoll priestess (Lake Starfall) ([[]]) and give her Priestess' Spirit Staff

The gnoll priestess gently lifts the staff from your hands. 'You would help me at no cost? Bark! I... I don't know what to say. Thank you.' She cradles the staff in the crook of her arm and, for a moment, refuses to meet your gaze.
