You say, 'Hail, A Vaporous Projection'

A Vaporous Projection says, 'My congratulations to your victory over the Guardian. I in truth did expect little from such a low race as yours. Perhaps things have changed over the millennia... ahh but I dawdle. Before you lies the vastness of my prison. This place was once my own, a mighty keep of sorcery and power. It was refitted by my enemies to hold the vastness of my glory, imprisoned in my very own home. It is one of many insults that I intend to repay. Listen well, instruments of my vengeance. You must first make your way inside the watch barracks... this should prove no difficult affair. The custodians, the hated Vandathian race, and their golemic creations, will face you there. Carve a path through them and locate the Master of the Gates. He holds the access which you require to proceed deeper into the prison. But beware! He is protected by a powerful elemental barrier which will shield from all harm as long as the object of focus which sustains it remains. This object is an Elemental Orb, divided into eight pieces for safekeeping. Locate them all and destroy the orb in the fires of a forge. This will make your target vulnerable. I will speak to you again when you have completed your task. Do not tarry.'A Vaporous Projection says, 'I am also able to provide you with assistance of a more direct form if your useless little bodies should require it.'

You say, 'Uh, what?'

A Vaporous Projection says, 'Even such creatures as you must be familiar with the Northlands and the creatures that inhabit it... more specifically, the Dragons of Zarad and the Giants of the Storm. Ahhh... long ago I lived among those lands, and there, I devised a formula for the creation of powerful armor to suit my loyal followers. After my enemies made their deceitful blow, the creatures of the North fought over what scraps of my magnificent creations that they could salvage. Among these they managed to bastardize the alloy of armor into something less pure, less powerful. I can sense such armor in the possessions of some of you. It is nothing, useless trinkets compared to what which I can teach you to craft. For that, however, it has a use, for it saves the time of creating the actual armor, and simply means it needs to be enchanted further. Among my treasure hoard I held gems for this purpose, peerless gems representing the four elements. Many of these gems fell out into the outside world, where they lost much of their power, and today are used to make the lesser armor of the Storm and the Scale, but some remain in here, pure, powerful, useful. I speak of Midnight Pearls, Gleaming Pearls, Lavastones and Waterstones. Gather such gems from the wardens of my prison and bring them to me, along with the most powerful armor you can acquire from the toy smitheries of the North. Three are required for a breastplate. Two for a cloak, a helmet, arms or leggings. One for anything else. In addition I require that you have in your belongings the key that let you into this place, to prove that you truly serve my cause - though there is no need to give it to me.'
