Find Projection of the Deep (Caverns of the Deep One  at -1210, 20, 3  • Near Zone In) .

You say, 'Tell me more about the follower of Marlow.'

Projection of the Deep says, 'Marlow has been oddly quiet for some time, and in general kept to herself enough to be of no concern to me. But Poltas observed a pale woman known as Temptation traveling all about the known world. He followed her to Thurgadin before he was killed in an ambush near a seedy bar. All we know of Temptation is she is a powerful nightmare given physical form. Start your search there. If you find her, whether you learn anything or not, it may be safest to just dispatch her.'

Find a shady shadow dwarf (Thurgadin  at +99,-393  • in the lower half of the bar near the mansion of portals) .

You say, 'Hail, a shady shadow dwarf'

a shady shadow dwarf says, 'What are you looking at? Go away.'

You say, 'I'm looking for information. About someone called Temptation.'

a shady shadow dwarf pauses a moment. 'Not sure. Sounds important whatever it is.'

You say, 'What will it cost me?'

a shady shadow dwarf smiles. 'I knew you were a smart guy. And I'm a business man first and foremost. So here is how it goes. I need some things collected. Think you can handle it?'

You say, 'And then you'll tell me what you know?'

a shady shadow dwarf nods. 'Yes, everything.'

You say, 'Ok what is the task.'

a shady shadow dwarf says, 'Ensorceled Crystals. I have a client who wants them. Three of them apparently, once used in a certain nearby labyrinth. They look like regular crystals, so are probably just laying around in there. Three of them in total, they seem identical so don't come back until you get three unique ones.'

You say, 'And who is this client?'

a shady shadow dwarf says, 'Not your business. But be speedy and maybe you'll earn more than just information.'

Give a shady shadow dwarf the three Ensorceled Crystals.

a shady shadow dwarf smiles. 'Perfect timing. My client was getting anxious.'

You gain 100500 experience!!

You say, 'I've done my part. Now tell me about Temptation.'

a shady shadow dwarf nods. 'Of course. Shojar teaches us the importance of our word. Temptation is looking for something in Icewell Keep. I don't know what, but I trust the guards will keep her out of any place too important. If you hurry you may be able to catch up to her.'

Upon entering Icewell Keep:

You hear the sounds of battle ahead!

Save Deirdre Grey from a hostile shadow and a shambling abomination.

You say, 'Hail, Deirdre Grey'

Deirdre Grey says, 'Clearly Althuna's favors me given your prompt arrival.'

You say, 'I'm glad you are safe! I feared the worst when you never arrived in Sundered Mountain.'

Deirdre Grey smiles a bit. 'That... that's nice of you. I wished to help. I truly did. But Althuna forbade me from involving myself. She said to track Temptation here. She's eluded us for so long... only I can catch Temptation.

You say, 'If she's behind things, I'll take her out myself.'

Deirdre Grey nods. 'You might get your chance. But first things first, do you think you could do me a minor favor?

You say, 'What favor?'

Deirdre Grey says, 'I have an audience with the Shadow King soon. Temptation could be here, but if she's not I'll need the Kings further assistance. What I need right now is proof of how wide this whole thing really reaches. What I need is proof, and I think I know just the thing.'

You say, 'These corpses aren't enough?'

Deirdre Grey says, 'No. I need more than just this. The scimitars the pale bandits use... I know their source. Go to the Dreadfang spire, and find a disease crafted scimitar. Have it on your person and meet me in the Kings throne room. We'll get to the bottom of it there.'

Enter the throne room of King Dalak Shadowhand (Icewell Keep  •) 's with a Disease Crafted Scimitar in your inventory.

Deirdre Grey shouts, 'There do you see! It's just as I say mad with hate and wielding the disease crafted scimitar!'

You say, 'Hail, Deirdre Grey'

Deirdre Grey says, 'There he is King Shadowhand. The one behind the recent attacks on your life.'

You say, 'What in the world!'

King Dalak Shadowhand says, 'I suppose you have been correct all along Lady Grey. Guards-'

You say, 'How could you do this to me Deirdre!'

Deirdre Grey smirks, 'What can I say <Player Name>. The Temptation was to great.'

King Dalak Shadowhand shouts, 'Cast <Player Name> into the pit, to be devoured by the very Shadow he dared invade us with.'

You will be cast into the Icewell, where an unknown shadow (Icewell Keep  at 598, -38, -101  • Quest triggered.) awaits you.

You hear the sound of battle above, and Deirdre laughing. It would seem it was all a set up.

Once you kill an unknown shadow, Deirdre Grey will spawn nearby.

You say, 'Hail, Deirdre Grey'

Deirdre Grey says, 'You've been interesting <Player Name>. But it's over for you now.'

You say, 'Hail, Temptation, Daughter of Dis'

Temptation, Daughter of Dis giggles. 'You are so... attractive when you jump to conclusions!'

You say, 'So Marlow was behind it all after all!'

Temptation, Daughter of Dis says, 'Oh deary, Marlow? You think Marlow is still in control here? Honey, you are out of your league!'

Temptation, Daughter of Dis attacks you.

Temptation, Daughter of Dis says, 'Enough!'

You say, 'Hail, Temptation, Daughter of Dis'

Temptation, Daughter of Dis says, 'I can see I won't win here. And you are to stubborn to give up. But know this, I may not be able to hurt you, but I'll make you hurt. Just wait and see. For the Cold Master!'
