The Lost Package

Foreman Andrin is waiting on cargo from Erudin. He sends you to talk to Alathea Falakor in Erudin about it, who says Fazira Zarinn in Mistwoods still has the package. Fazira was threatened by Endim the Green, a Halfling who didn't want Fazira's wood sample delivered to Newport. "Convince" Endim to hand over the sample and Foreman Andrin or listen to Endim and be a total hippie about the whole thing.

Foreman Andrin says, 'Argh, you people again! Look, I already told you, the package hasn't arrived yet, alright? I DON'T know why it's late, and I DON'T know when it's finally going to be here. Ask the shipper in Erudin!'

You say, 'Huh? What are you talking about?'

Foreman Andrin says, 'Oh... sorry. I thought you were one of the Silver Crown people. Nevermind, then. What do you want?'

You say, 'What was that about a package? I might be able to help.'

Foreman Andrin says, 'Hm... alright. I'll tell you. I am the foreman of the docks here, which means I handle cargo coming from Erudin and Freeport and store it here in the warehouse until the owners come pick it up. The Silver Crown are apparently waiting on some important package from Erudin, which should have arrived days ago, and they just can't stop pestering me about it! If they somehow decide it's my fault that the package hasn't arrived, I could lose my work.'

You say, 'That sounds bad, what can I do?'

Foreman Andrin says, 'If you want to help out, go to Erudin and talk to Alathea Falakor, she handles the port authority there. Ask her why in the blazes the package hasn't been sent out, and if you can, bring it here yourself. I have a pair of gloves that I used to wear when I worked the docks and hauled all the heavy loads. They have a few minor enchantments on them, and should be an adequate reward.'

You say, 'Yes, yes, complain to someone who cares. What will you pay me to handle it?'

Foreman Andrin says, 'You certainly are a nasty type, aren't you? I have a pair of enchanted gloves that are yours if you fix this little situation for me. Go to Erudin, talk to Alathea Falakor, and use your charming manners to get ahold of that package. Once you bring it back, you'll get your reward.'

Find Alathea Falakor (Erudin  at 209, -9  • Port Authority Building at the Docks) .

Alathea Falakor says, 'Hello there. I'm Alathea, propertior of this shop. We mostly carry standard provisons, but if you're looking for anything in particular, let me know. Business has been slow lately, what with the docks closed and all, and my fool husband's always off fishing! Oh well...'

You say, 'I'm looking for a package due for the Silver Crown in Newport, do you know anything about it?'

Alathea Falakor says, 'Oh, THAT shipment. It's not here, I can tell you that much. I've been wondering about it myself... Fazira should've brought it here days ago.'

You say, 'Who is Fazira?'

Alathea Falakor says, 'Fazira Zarinn... she does some kind of work for the Silver Crown in the Mistwoods. I think it's related to lumberjacking. She lives in a Small house out in the forest.'

Find Fazira Zarinn (Mistwoods  at 1756, -734  • Inside a hut North-East of the Druid Ring) .

Fazira Zarinn says, 'Hello. This is my house, and I don't want visitors.'

You say, 'I'm looking for a package due for the Silver Crown in Newport'

Fazira Zarinn says, 'Yeah, well, you can keep looking. I don't have it, and I'm not going to tell you where it is either, because I value my life, thank you very much.'

Good Alignment option

You say, 'What do you mean? If someone has threatened you, I can protect you'

Fazira Zarinn says, 'Oh... alright, fine! But you HAVE to promise to protect me...'

Fazira Zarinn says, 'Alright... my job here it to prepare the way for a lumberjacking project. The package is a sample of wood that will be examined by the Traders to determine if it's worth setting up a local branch. I was heading to deliver it to the docks in Erudin, when I was stopped by a druid, a halfling. He took the package and threatened me, saying that he would kill me if I attempted to gather more wood or told anyone about what happened. I believe he lives at the druid rings... and now that I've told you, you have to deal with him. You promised you would. He might still have the sample on him, too.'

Evil Alignment option

You say, 'No, if you value your life you ARE going to tell me, woman.

Fazira Zarinn says, 'What?! You're no better than that druid! Oh, fine. I'm working here to prepare the way for a lumberjacking operation, alright? The package is a sample of wood that will be examined by the Traders to determine if it's worth setting up a local branch. I was heading to deliver it to the docks in Erudin, when I was stopped by a druid, a halfling. He took the package and threatened me, saying that he would kill me if I attempted to gather more wood or told anyone about what happened. If you want the package, you'll have to get it from HIM. He hangs around the bridge.. and I hope the two of you kill each other!'

Find Endim the Green (Mistwoods  at -455, -370  • South of the Bridge) .

You say, 'Hail, Endim the Green'

Endim the Green says, 'I know why you're here! I saw you talking to the defiler... she will die for this, and if you insist on allying with the defilers, you will too!'

Killing Endim the Green (Lawful)

You say, 'I have a job to fulfill. Give me the package, now.

Endim the Green says, 'You will die, and so will she! I will not permit this desecration!'

Killing Endim the Green (Evil)

You say, 'All those who stand in my way shall perish!'

Endim the Green says, 'So be it! Die, defiler of the forest!'

Kill Endim the Green and loot Box of Lumber.

Give Box of Lumber to Foreman Andrin.

Foreman Andrin says, 'The package! Finally! I'm going to go shove this down the throat of one of those traders... well, not really, but the thought is nice. Here, this is what we agreed on. I'll throw in a little cash on the side, too.'

Note: This option is only available is you chose the GOOD option in the previous step by promising to protect Fazira Zarinn.

Endim the Green says, 'I am entrusted with the protection of this forest. The city-folk want to come here and desecrate the forest, cut down the ancient oaks, kill the animals and poison the river in their greedy pursuits. I cannot allow this. If you are not the weak-minded brute I thought you to be, you will understand the evil in helping them.'

You say, 'I understand. You are right, I will not allow the forest to be desecrated.'

Endim the Green says, 'You will not? I... thank you. I did not expect this. I will leave the Silver Crown woman be, I doubt she shall tell anyone else. You are a friend of the forest, allow me to give you its protection, freely offered by the trees rather than taken with axe and saw.'
