Go to Eastern Wastelands and talk to a blind shaman in the orc fort. He will tell you a story about a powerful weapon that has been spread around the world, he also speaks about Vastaraizoleth who stole a powerful gem from it. When you have gone through the whole story kill the blind shaman and loot his Farsight Gem.

Find a blind shaman (Eastern Wastelands • Orc fort) .
You say, 'Hail, a blind shaman'
a blind shaman says, 'Who speaks? Ah... I sense your presence in the spirit world now. It is a wonder that you got in here at all, being a... <Player Race>, yes? No matter. Sit down young one, and listen to a tale.'
You say, 'Hmm, perhaps I have time.'
a blind shaman says, 'I shall tell you of the ancient Ytrazliarch, the Blade of Suffering. Lord Blizzard, creator of the Blizzardskin tribe, was gifted this weapon by his dragon friend, the ancient Mielech. He put it to good use, truly.'
You say, 'What did he do with it?'
a blind shaman says, 'Lord Blizzard, wielding the Ytrazliarch, united the warring factions of Orcs across the continent, creating our fortress and home. From it he ruled, until years later, in a spout of restlessness, he left the fortress with a few of his followers, on a quest for the dragon graveyard.'
You say, 'Graveyard? Do tell.'
a blind shaman says, 'The ancient Dragon Necropolis! Whether he found it or not tells not this tale, for Lord Blizzard vanished. Much later, quite recently in fact, a scouting party found the Pommel Jewel in the hands of an outcast giant they killed.'
You say, 'The Pommel Jewel of Ytrazliarch?'
a blind shaman says, 'Ah, it was my task to keep the jewel, and truth be said, it granted me great powers. With the aid of the jewel, I, the greatest orc shaman of all time, created the True Curse of the Frozen, a spell of utmost potential. Alas... if not for my apprentice...'
You say, 'What did your apprentice do?'
a blind shaman says, 'Vastar, my apprentice... or as he calls himself now, Vastaraizoleth, saw the power and desired it for himself. When I slept, he crept up to me, assailing me with a spell. It shattered my wards, and destroyed my eyes. As I flailed about in agony, he stole the jewel from my possessions and ran.'
You say, 'So, Vastar was your apprentice. Where did he go?'
a blind shaman says, 'He settled in a small outpost near the great bridge. We sent out warriors to retrieve the jewel, but laughing, he killed them with a mere word. In his quest for power, he drew almost all the energy from the jewel, infusing it into himself. But... my mind wanders from the story.'
You say, 'Indeed it does. Do you have a point at all?'
a blind shaman says, 'The weapon, the Blade of Suffering! It can be recreated... were all the pieces to be found. You know where the Pommel Jewel is, but I can't say for the hilt and the blade. The giants, perhaps. Or the dragons. Ask them.'
Note: Kill a blind shaman and loot Farsight Gem now to save yourself a time.
Find Outcast Batutisz (Western Wastelands at 4068, -3013, -74 •) .
You say, 'Hail, Outcast Batutisz'
You say, 'Do you know of a blade called Ytrazliarch?'
Outcast Batutisz 's eyes glow a fiery red as he growls, 'How do YOU know of the Blade of Suffering?'
You say, 'The blind shaman told me.'
Outcast Batutisz says, 'Old Tylak told you? Hmpf. Ever since he lost his eyes, I think his sanity has gone the same way. So you seek the Blade of Suffering? Very well. I'm sure you wouldn't mind eliminating possible future competition. Kill Tylak, take his Farsight Gem, and give me it. That way, I can be sure he won't prattle anymore about it.'
Return to a blind shaman (Eastern Wastelands • Orc fort) and kill him. Loot the Farsight Gem and give it to Outcast Batutisz.
Outcast Batutisz says, 'Ah. Very good. Now, if you want my help, there is a price involved. I am seeking a particular artifact, myself, and needs certain components for its crafting. Here, take this, and put the following components in it...'
Outcast Batutisz says, 'The work of a master artist, a staff of the lightest wood, the heart of an elder mammoth, the heart of a powerful shaman, a chunk of deepscar ore, the scale of a gloomwater mermaid, the mantle of a skilled trainer, the blood of a black slime, a lavacore stone and finally the face of a secluded creature.'
You receive a Dragon Pack from Outcast Batutisz.
Collect and combine in Dragon Pack:
- Block of Deepscar Ore
- Lightwood Bo Staff
- Black Slime Blood
- Heart of Nightspeaker
- Bloodtusk's Heart
- Mermaid Scale
- Painting of Wyvernfang Coast
- Embroidered Mantle
- Lavacore Stone
- Recluso Mask
Note: You will take a faction hit with Thurgadin by collecting Block of Deepscar Ore, and a faction hit with the Othmir for collecting Painting of Wyvernfang Coast.
Give the combined Dragon Pack to Outcast Batutisz.
Outcast Batutisz says, 'Well done, <Player Name>. I didn't expect you to complete the task, but wrong I was. We are not yet done however. Let me... ah. Here. I've placed the first enchantments on it, you will need to see the dragon enchantress Adrecia for the next.'
You gain 10000 experience!!
You receive a Glowing Dragon Pack from Outcast Batutisz.
Note: You'll need amiable Scale Alliance faction before you can continue with the next step.
Give the Glowing Dragon Pack to Lady Adrecia (Western Wastelands at 780, 130 •) .
Lady Adrecia says, 'Who gave you this? I see... hrm. I suppose I can help you... It should be a challenge, if nothing else. Anyways <Player Name>, let's get to work. I gave you the pack back, as you see. To place the next enchantment on it, I will need two potent items. The first one is the Chalice of Permafrost. This was uncovered deep in the glaciers by the Gnoll Tribe of the east, long ago. As for the second, the Chalice of Eversnow, I believe that it is buried somewhere in the damned halls of the Dragon Necropolis. I would advise against disturbing the forces at rest there, however.'
Gather and give to Lady Adrecia.

Lady Adrecia looks at the artifacts, then gives you a glance of newfound respect, 'Quite a deed. As promised I shall cast the spell... there. I'm done. You will need to take it to my friend Lady Rosaline, for the finishing touches, before you return it to Batutisz.'

You receive a Shimmering Dragon Pack from Lady Adrecia.
Give the Shimmering Dragon Pack to Lady Rosaline (Western Wastelands at 365, 1146, -222 •) .
Lady Rosaline tells you, 'Adrecia gave you this? Ah, I see what she's done... this is a simple transmutation matter. Ah! Hmm. Interesting. Mortal, I don't think you understand what you're about to give Batutisz. I will be keeping this, and you will be abandoning whatever fruitless scheme you are chasing.'
Kill Lady Rosaline and loot Sealbreaker.
Give Sealbreaker to Outcast Batutisz.
Outcast Batutisz says, 'Also, take this. It can be used to mend the blade, when you have located all the pieces. You should speak to me again when you are prepared to face the Guardian.'
You gain 50000 experience!!
You receive a Satchel of Mending from Outcast Batutisz. He will also spawn Faeth the Guardian when you hail him now.
Collect and combine in Satchel of Mending:
- Hilt of Ytrazliarch
- Blade of Ytrazliarch
- Pommel Jewel of Ytrazliarch
This will create Ytrazliarch. Return to Outcast Batutisz and give him Ytrazliarch to prove your success.
Outcast Batutisz says, 'You have done far better than I expected. You are truly worthy of wielding the Blade of Suffering.'
