Specialization

From SoDWiki
Jump to navigationJump to search

Specialization will be available to everyone from level 1. These skills cannot be trained in a normal sense. Instead, every level (including level 1), you gain 10 points to distribute over the specializations. Additionally, for every AA (Alternate Advancement) up to 300, you gain an additional 2 points. Once you reach 300 AA and level 65, you will have maxed out all (they go to 250). This means that eventually you will have "specialized" in everything, which is a recognition of the fact that real specialization is hard to do in an archaic class system - a warrior will always pick tanking, a rogue always DPS, and so on.

Specialization Areas

Blade/Strike Specialization Increases the damage you deal with Piercing, 2H Piercing, Slashing, 2H Slashing, Hand-To-Hand and Backstab attacks.
Blunt/Avoidance Specialization Increases the damage you deal with Blunt and 2H Blunt attacks, as well as your ability to avoid attacks in combat.
Sight/Warding Specialization Increases the damage you deal with Throwing and Archery attacks, as well as your ability to resist hostile magic.
Energy/Defense Specialization Increases the potency of your Damage, Damage over Time, Heal and Heal over Time spells and songs, as well as increasing your ability to absorb melee damage.
Focus/Mind Specialization Decreases the amount of mana you spend on spells and songs, as well as the chance of an enemy resisting your spells and songs.
