First off, from all of the staff here at Shards of Dalaya, we would like to welcome you to our game! We have provided this newbie guide for Sadri Malath as part of our official starting area guides series to help new players acclimate themselves to Shards of Dalaya, and to find things to do in their starting areas. This guide will cover Taldorian starting in the Sundered Mountains regions. Always remember: these guides are just suggestions. Shards of Dalaya is designed to allow you to level up however you like, wherever you like.

  • Q1 Level 6 - 15. Cleric Paladin Shaman.
Theron Ygnir is seeking a young Taldorian Shaman, Cleric or Paladin to talk to his brother in the Wolfkiller Clan Village in the Sundered Mountains about a package that has yet arrived. He is willing to reward you for the trouble.
  • Q2 Level 1 - 35. Warrior and Paladin.
Guard Master Ulik was thrown into his position as leader of the Guardians of Malath after his predecessor was killed in the destruction of the Taldorian homeland. He proved himself by successfully leading his people out of the Lands of Magic on the brink of its destruction, finally settling here into Sadri. He is in charge of training the young warriors of Sadri Malath, paladins and warriors included, and to invite a select few to become full Guardians of Malath.
  • Q3 Level 4 - 20. Wizard Only.
Art Master Tergon is in charge of the Wizardly Arts guild in Sadri Malath, and has many tasks for new wizards in their ranks.
  • Q4 Level 1 - 20. All Classes.
Guard Flipik was put in charge by Guard Master Ulik to deal with the Vulfwere closest to the city gates. He is looking for young adventurers to help him toward that goal, and has Theron armor to provide to help you along your way.
  • Q5 Level 4 - 20. Cleric and Shaman. (FORTHCOMING)
Spirit Mistress Jyla has sensed a spiritual disturbance coming from the Vulfwere war bands marching on Sadri Malath. She needs to find someone well attuned to faith or spirit based magic to investigate.
  • Q6 Level 1 - 35. All Classes.
Targol the Alchemist is seeking to replenish his stocks of rare Sundered Mountain alchemical ingredients. He is willing to pay both in cash... and in some interesting potions.

Sundered Mountains

  • Q1 Level 6-35. All Classes.
Someone has stolen from Captain Spak. No one steals from Captain Spak without paying the iron price.
  • Q2 Level 2-10. All Classes.
Uled sells bags and leather goods on the Sundered docks. He is looking for local adventurers willing to collect hides for his leatherworking in exchange for some of his bags.
  • Q3 Level 2-10. All Classes.
Rupta is worried about the food shortage in Sadri Malath, and is hoping to start turtle farming there for food. She is collecting eggs from the Sundered Mountain shores, and could use the help of someone strong enough to tackle the angry mother turtles head on.
  • Q4 Level 21-30. All Classes.
Envoy Bippa is the Envoy of Underhill to the Wolfslayer Clan, and is in charge of the excavation of the deep Lands of Magic rocks. That is, until the power source ran out on her digger unit. If you are willing to travel to help her out, she might be able to reward you for it.
  • Q5 Level 21-30. Warrior, Cleric, Paladin, Shadowknight, Bard.
Eldvild the Leatherworker has been perfecting a type of armor padding made from Panda Fur that helps absorb the impact of blows to the wearer. She needs help gathering resources, but for that and a bit of cash, might be willing to outfit you with some of her new wares.
  • Q6 Level 21-30. All Classes.
Clansman Wyrbjorn was put in charge of the Forts defenses against the Vulfwere. Help him out by collecting Vulfwere teeth, and he may be able to create something out of them for you.
  • Q7 Level 28-40. All Classes.
Clansman Olaf is worried about the Clan's rockworm problem. The damned things burrow up from the lowlands directly into the Clan food stores. Help take care of them, and the Clan will reward you for it.
  • Q8 Level 28-40. All Classes.
Clansman Fjyr is sick and tired of the Vulfwere, and wants help in going directly after the Vulfwere leadership to put an end to it all. Pull it off, and the clan is sure to pony up something nice for you.
  • Q9 Level 21-30. All Classes. Sword is Warrior, Paladin, Ranger, Shadowknight.
Clan Chief Svartbjorn cares about glory and battle. He was the one who fought off the great Greyback when he came to slaughter the clan during their winter feast. It was that day that he was made Chief, and was given the Sword of the Clan. Still, if an outsider were to hunt down and actually kill Greyback, they could claim the sword as their own.
  • Q10 Level 23-40. All Classes.
Clansman Wyrulf and Clansman Mangar are looking for help ridding the Warpstone Caverns of Vulfwere. Bring them back some stalker armor, and they will pay you directly from the Clan coffers.
