Necromancer pets

Jump to navigationJump to search

Necromancer pets appear either as a skeleton, mummy, or hooded specter and are less powerful than Magician pets. Necromancer pets are capable of breaking feign death if they aggro a mob after the necro has feigned. An necromancer can not have an active pet and a charmed pet at the same time. Wake the Dead may be used with a charmed or summoned pet.

It's often beneficial to get an enchanter to debuff a mobs magic resistance (since all charm spells are magic based) if you have one handy before attempting to charm in order to more effectively charm the mob. Increasing your charisma is of prime importance to ensure that your charm spell is not resisted as well as obtaining Focus/Mind Specialization.

Wake the Dead

Wake the Dead is a Necromancer specific Alternate Advancement activated ability. When activated, up to 5 of the closest corpses may come alive to attack the targeted character for 30 seconds. The ability can not be activated less than 9 minutes from the last time it was activated. The ability becomes available for purchase at level 61.
