Miner Lishta says, 'Hello, I don't recognize you. You're not with the Company, are you?'

You say, 'Who are you?'

Miner Lishta says, 'Oh, I'm no one important. Just a miner. My father had a high standing in the Arcane Academy and he wanted me to follow in his footsteps, but I never had much talent for spellcasting. Now he's dead, and the only thing I have to remember him by is in the belly of one of the beasts below.'

You say, 'How did that happen?'

Miner Lishta says, 'A few days ago, I was leading a prospecting team to evaluate some newly discovered veins beyond the camp perimeter, when we were attacked by gelatinous creatures. We legged it, but I tripped on a rock and fell, and the creatures almost caught up with me. In my rush to get on my feet, my father's silver bracelet must have slipped from my finger, because when I looked back, I saw one of the gelatinous cubes go right over it and gobble it up. It's not very valuable, but it has sentimental value to me, and I'd be willing to trade my best mining pick to anyone who'd get it back for me.'

You say, 'I can get it for you.'

Miner Lishta says, 'You would? I'd be ever so grateful! The cube that swallowed it should be somewhere west of the north campsite.'

Miner Lishta says, 'My bracelet! You found it! Oh, I'm so happy. Like I promised, I'll give you my best mining pick in reward - it has a strength enchantment on it which helps a lot when you're trying to carry a heavy load of ore back to the forge.'
