Find Sister Sonderlia (Plane of Earth  at -2521, 3022, -26  • A sort of shrine with a bunch of other dryads, it is the Sihala Gate Neck port-in) .

You say, 'Hail, Sister Sonderlia'
Sister Sonderlia bows. 'Greetings and praise from the Lady of the Earth. How goes your travels <Player Name>?'
You say, 'Quite well Sister. How go your own duties?'
Sister Sonderlia tells you, 'Fairly well. The Great Mother has tasked me with taking soil samples from Dalaya. It is a simple task, and fulfilling, but the waiting is getting somewhat irritating.'
You say, 'If you don't mind me asking, how are you taking samples from here?'
Sister Sonderlia laughs. 'Obviously I can't, and while we have not been in direct war for centuries, Dalaya itself is an unstable place these days. I modified some treants to gather samples for me. I eagerly await there return. The other is a bit trickier, and too dangerous for the treants to be sent in.'
You say, 'Trickier? What do you need done?'
Sister Sonderlia frowns. 'Well, you may or may not be familiar with the legends of Yaralith and the first druid... really the history isn't that important. That's more Jayala's department. What is important is that I need something that only their priests would have.'
You say, 'Don't worry yourself, I'll handle that. Won't even break a sweat.'
Sister Sonderlia beams. 'That would be very helpful! It is some form of blessed sand with clearly druidic properties. Retrieve ten samples for me if you could. That should be enough for a full analysis.'

Gather and give ten Blessed Sand of the Yaralith to Sister Sonderlia.

Sister Sonderlia says, 'Thank you <Player Name>. Now if only my plants would return...'
You say, 'They were just Small treants correct? They could easily have fallen prey to any number of things on Dalaya.'
Sister Sonderlia frowns. 'This is a possibility... but even they fell to the weapons of man, or the teeth of beast, they should still have the samples. If it wouldn't be too much trouble, could you go and locate the treant stalks, then retrieve them, or their husks?'
You say, 'Not a problem, where did you let them loose?'
Sister Sonderlia looks pleased. 'I set four loose on Faydark. I don't know where they would have gotten themselves to at this point, but they were designed to cover ground, so you won't find two in the same place.'

You say, 'Attacked me. See the husks, they were discolored like that before I killed them.'
Sister Sonderlia examines the husks more closely. 'I see... and this one is missing... some... seeds... <Player Name> get to Western Badlands NOW!'
You say, 'Wait what?.'
Sister Sonderlia says, 'The Badlands are huge! In order to cover that much distance, I gave that treant the ability to plant its own seeds! If they are attacking innocent people... get down there and destroy it before its too late!'

Find Newport Captain Nevans (Western Badlands  at -2169, -4188  •) .

You say, 'Hail, Newport Captain Nevans'
Newport Captain Nevans says, 'Ugh... where is our back up...'
You say, 'Back up against what?'
Newport Captain Nevans says, 'We were called here to deal with... plants... some kind of moving Lotus... and...'
You say, 'That's what I'm here for. Where did you see the Lotus last?'
Newport Captain Nevans says, 'Lotus? You'll find a lot more than one Lotus here...'
You say, 'Are they still in the area?'
Newport Captain Nevans says, 'They pulled back just a little while ago. No idea why. But it'll give us time to tend our wounded.'
You say, 'Was that soldier over there killed in action?'
Newport Captain Nevans says, 'Ya... those things killed him... and when they did a... shadow of some kind emerged from him and attacked us. We barely took it out.'
You say, 'The Lotus did what!'
Newport Captain Nevans says, 'Ya. Not your every day house plant... Althuna shield us! They are coming back! Hope that weapon isn't just for show <Player Name>!'
The ground rumbles, as the Lotus emerge!
Newport Captain Nevans says, 'Here they come! If anyone is killed, it'll get very tricky...'
Note: Several waves of 8 - 10 enraged stalks will attack.

Kill the enraged stalks before they kill Newport Captain Nevans and his entourage.

Note: They cannot be healed or cured, making this event a little rough. It is suggested you engage and try get aggro on as many of them as possible as fast as possible.

Find Milo Dobbins (Western Badlands  • Farm house) .

You say, 'Hail, Milo Dobins'
Milo Dobins moans and shivers, strange lumps moving through his body in response. 'So cold... so... cold...'
You say, 'Milo, I need to know whats going on right now...'
Miller Dobins says, 'Are you the healer? Please say you are the healer!'

Find Miller Dobbins (Western Badlands  • Farm house) .

You say, 'Hail, Miller Dobins'
Miller Dobins says, 'Are you the healer?'
You say, 'Yes, I've come to help.'
Miller Dobins says, 'Oh thank Althuna. If there is any way we can help just tell us! Milo is our world!'
You say, 'I'm ready to start. I'll need you to leave the premises.'
Miller Dobins says, 'Leave? But Milo needs us!'
You say, '[Shout out to the Captain] Captain, I need the parents removed from the premises while I work.'
Captain yells, 'You heard <Player Name>. Get out. I'm sure he knows what he is doing.'
Miller Dobins says, 'Okay... dear, let's let <Player Name> work...'
You say, 'Hail, Milo Dobins'
Milo Dobins moans and shivers, strange lumps moving through his body in response. 'So cold... so... cold...'
You say, 'Milo, I need to know whats going on right now...'
Milo Dobins says, 'I'm... so cold... I'll never be an explorer... I'll never see Rivervale... I'll never make things better... so cold...'
Note: How you chose to deal with the child will effect your alignment. Saving him is a Large Good hit.

Good Alignment Branch

You say, 'Milo, be brave. [Grab the child and take him back to Sister Sonderlia]'
Milo Dobins says, 'I... I... mommy! Where are you!'

Your receive An Uncouncious Halfling from Milo Dobbins.

Return to Sister Sonderlia.

You say, 'Hail, Sister Sonderlia'
Sister Sonderlia says, 'I sensed when you came in, you have another with you, let me see him.'
Sister Sonderlia says, 'There is something unnatural happening to this child. You were wise to bring him here, and I'll contact the Great Mother right to help. Never forget, that our most important duty as followers of the Lady of the Earth, is to maintain the blanace of nature and all its parts. Take this as a reminder of that for all times, and as thanks.'

You receive Mark of Sihala's Scout from Sister Sonderlia.

You gain 25000 experience!!

You say, 'Whatever got Milo... was it our fault?'
Sister Sonderlia says, 'Go see Treekeeper Rosretal. He's more action oriented, and has already gathered other agents of Sihala to assist in this matter. He will likely have many questions for you, and tasks that need to be done.'

You say, 'I'm sorry Milo. [Kill the child to stop whatever it is thats growing inside him]'
Milo Dobins screams in agony.

Return to Sister Sonderlia.

Sister Sonderlia says, 'That look in your eyes... you've done something you regret... show me what you have found.'
You say, 'I don't regret it at all.'
Sister Sonderlia says, 'You did what you had to do. We don't know whats going on, and taking risks would just endanger far more people. We don't celebrate these actions, but you did what you had too. Remember balance in all things. Take this as a way to remember that.'
