I *would* have a really good blade in the works for you, as I recently aquired a chunk of Steamfont Mountains Iron. This rare, enchanted metal is exceptional for making durable and sharp blades. I had the sword I was going to make from it all but ready... it just needed sharpening. But then, when I was heading through the mountains to pick up a sharpening stone from a friend, a big minotaur happened by, swinging a flail at me and howling with all sorts of bloodthirst. I tossed the blade to distract it and ran, and when I came back later, the blade was gone. Thing must have nicked it. If you can get me the sword back, along with a sharpening stone, I'll make you a blade befit of any gnome! Well... my fee too, naturally. Reduced rate for you. Just nine gold.'
