Find Sadri Liaison Lippy (Zenn Malath  at -386, 141, 134  • Western most building near the monk guild) .

You say, 'Hail, Sadri Liaison Lippy'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'And a hearty hail to you, <Player Race>. It's good to see another soul has found his way to the humble settlement of Zenn Malath. My name is Lippy, and this is my office. Please, make yourself at home. We're a small community, but we've all the commerce and culture you could ask for.'
You say, 'What is your role here?'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'You're talking to the official liaison to Sadri Malath. I oversee expansion, approve shipments, dole out necklaces to friends of the community, and report noteworthy developments to our parent city. I probably wear a few too many hats for my own good, but I'm up to the task.'
You say, 'What do you mean, 'dole out necklaces to friends of the community'?'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'As liaison, one of my jobs is to spread goodwill between Zenn Malath and the rest of Dalaya. One way of doing that is by gifting a special pearl necklace to anyone who makes a good-faith attempt to support the community that the locals are striving to build here. The necklaces are strung from pearls harvested from these very shores and enchanted with gate magic by an envoy from the Wizard guild of Sadri Malath.'
You say, 'How can I earn one of those necklaces?'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'Acquiring one entails two steps. First, you must make a sizable monetary donation to the settlement's coffers to show your commitment toward the betterment of this community. Once that is fulfilled, you are to complete a scavenger hunt I've devised to ensure the necklaces only go to those with a firm appreciation for the lay of Zenn Malath.'
You say, 'I'm interested in making that donation. What is the expected amount?'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'Ordinarily, we ask twenty thousand platinum of interested outsiders. Part of that covers the cost of the pearls, mind you. The necklaces have been unexpectedly popular of late, however, and we've only enough pearls to string a few more. Store-bought pearls won't do, you see. They must be locally sourced or the necklace loses its meaning. Unfortunately, our local diver can't keep up with the demand. Tell you what, how about you speak to him yourself and help harvest some pearls to ease his burden? Do that and I'll only ask ten thousand of you.'
You say, 'For half off, I'd be happy to do that.'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'Wonderful. Take this note to Gobo, our pearl diver, and he'll instruct you on how to help him. As for the platinum donation, let's settle that after you've sorted out this business with the pearls.'

You receive Note to Gobo.

Pearl Diving

Find Pearl Diver Gobo (Zenn Malath  at -396, 420, 68  • South western shoreline) .

You say, 'Hail, Pearl Diver Gobo'
Pearl Diver Gobo says, 'Toil, toil, toil! There's no end to the toil, is there? I've been diving for pearls all day long, and still I can't keep up with Lippy's quota. Oh, what would you know of a Taldorian's troubles, anyway? Please, unless you've business with me, allow me to enjoy my break in peace and quiet.'
The Taldorian reads the note intently.

Hand Note to Gobo to Pearl Diver Gobo.

Note: This part requires at least 100 skill in Swimming
Pearl Diver Gobo says, 'Finally, Lippy sends me a helping hand! I've been at this pearl diving all day. The pay is better than any job I'd have found in Sadri Malath, but I'm nearly working myself to the bone. Now, let's get down to business. Have you ever gone pearl diving before?'
You say, 'I haven't, but I'm willing to give it a try.'
Pearl Diver Gobo says, 'That's good enough for me. Now, when diving for pearls, the two most important things to have are a good set of lungs and a little persistence. You've the look of a masterful swimmer about you, so at least the former won't be an issue. So, let's talk harvesting pearls. What do you want to know?'
You say, 'How do I go about finding the pearls once I'm in the water?'
Pearl Diver Gobo says, 'There are two kinds of pearl-producing clams here -- orange and blue. The orange ones can be ornery and don't produce pearls nearly as often as the blue ones, but they're greater in number. Don't bother with clams that've washed ashore, either. Beachcombers will have gotten there first. Anyway, once you've found a clam, approach it to check for a pearl. If you find one, great! If not, swim on. Our clams produce pearls faster than anywhere else in Dalaya, so you can always check again after some time. Oh, and most importantly, don't forget to come up for air once in a while!'
You say, 'Tell me about the pearls themselves. Are they special?'
Pearl Diver Gobo says, 'That depends on whom you ask. The jeweler who set up shop in the cave says pearls from our clams are unsellable because they almost never come out perfectly round. 'Baroque' is the jeweler's term for such pearls, or so I'm told. But Lippy, in a stroke of genius, began to string necklaces from our misshapen pearls and had them imbued them with gate magic. Her plan gave them a value beyond platinum and made for the perfect tool to connect Zenn Malath with the outside world. I'd say that that makes them very special.'
You say, 'How many pearls must I harvest?'
Pearl Diver Gobo says, 'Lippy told me to use my discretion on the matter. A <Player Race> like you should be sturdy enough to fill an order of fifteen pearls, I'd say. I'll be happy to take any extras off your hands, but let's aim for the fifteen. Come see me when you've collected as many.'

You will now need to swim in the waters around Zenn Malath and look for orange and blue clamshells. These are not NPCs but part of the environment. Appraoch one to get one of the following emotes:

You pry open the clamshell to find a lone pearl ripe for the taking.
As you lift the clamshell for inspection, a jet of mud shoots forth from inside! The shell clamps shut once again. It's unlikely to give up its contents anytime soon....
This clamshell has been recently inspected. Return later or look elsewhere for pearls...
You pry open the clamshell but find nothing of interest.
It's your lucky day! You pry open the clamshell to find not one but two pearls ripe for the taking.

Gather and give 15 Harvested Baroque Pearl to Pearl Diver Gobo.

Pearl Diver Gobo says, 'This is quite the haul, <Player Name>. You're sure you haven't gone pearl diving before?'
Pearl Diver Gobo says, 'I suppose you'll want to be on your way. Take this note for Lippy as proof of your service. I don't know the ins and outs of the process for earning those necklaces, but I'm sure you're much closer now that this deed is done. Thank you for lightening the burden of a overworked stranger, if only for a little while.'

You gain 16250 experience!!

You receive Note to Lippy.

Scavenger Hunt

Hand Note to Lippy to Sadri Liaison Lippy (Zenn Malath  at -386, 141, 134  • Western most building near the monk guild) .

The Taldorian reads the note intently.
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'Gobo seems pleased. You've done Zenn Malath a great service by helping with the pearl shortage. Who knows? Some of those very pearls you harvested may end up on the necklace you're working toward. But for now, let us return to the matter of donation. I believe we settled on a figure of twenty-five hundred platinum. Are you prepared to make the donation? Doing so will deem you eligible to undertake the scavenger hunt, the final step toward earning the necklace.'

Make sure you have the necessary amount of platinum on your character. Do not trade platinum to an NPC.

You say, 'I am ready to make the donation of ten thousand platinum.'

You lose 10000 platinum pieces.

Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'Thank you, <Player Name>. You have my assurance that this money will go toward the betterment of our community. I expect you want to hear of the scavenger hunt next. It is, after all, the only thing that stands between you and the necklace you so desire.'
You say, 'I would like to begin the scavenger hunt.'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'As you wish. Let me think for just a moment about what I want you to find first...'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'I've got it! Are you ready for the clue to your first item?'
You say, 'Yes. Give me the clue.'

You will now have to hunt for 10 things around Zenn Malath. The clues Sadri Liaison Lippy will give you refer to places around the zone, not NPCs or items. Each character will do the same 10 clues but not always in the same order. Return to Sadri Liaison Lippy after you get an emote saying you've found the correct location to receive the next clue. The Staff has asked that the details of the Zenn Malath scavenger hunt remain off the wiki. After you find all 10 locations:

NOTE: You have found 10/10 items for Lippy.
You say, 'Hail, Sadri Liaison Lippy'
Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'You're all done with the scavenger hunt. Are you ready for your long-awaited necklace?'
You say, 'I am ready for the necklace, Lippy.
'Sadri Liaison Lippy shouts, 'Hear ye, hear ye, people of Zenn Malath! <Player Name> has just earned his very own Baroque Pearl Necklace!

You gain 32500 experience!!

You receive Baroque Pearl Necklace.

Sadri Liaison Lippy says, 'Wear that necklace with pride, <Player Name>. You've earned it.'
Note: At this point, the player may choose to customize the teleport location that the Baroque Pearl Necklace sends them to within Zenn Malath. Speak with Sadri Envoy Klermit for details.
