Dawnpride quest of manhood

First off this quest is done completely within the zone, but don't let this fool you into thinking its an easy quest. 1 out of the 3 mobs is a very rare spawn and the items needed from the other 2 don't drop all that often. In addition, just about everything in the zone is KOS and there are many roamers.

Cadrik Dawnprider says, 'Oh... hello, fellow adventurer. Or well, in the past you would have been a fellow adventurer, but now I am retired from all that, though old habits die hard. Ah well, regardless, you'll excuse my mood. I am worried about my [son].

You say, "What about your son?"

Cadrik Dawnpride says, "Callin, my only son, my pride and joy. I wanted him to be a great warrior like me, but in retrospect, I have begun to realize that perhaps he was destined for different things. Ah... I sent him out on a quest to the forest of Shadowdale to prove himself, but it has been weeks and he has failed to return. I wonder if something has happened... ah, the life of an adventurer is a hard one, I should have let him enjoy his music...'

Find Callin Dawnpride (Shadowdale  at -782, 3093, 478  • Most SW Single house) .

Kill a shadowdale kodiak outside his cabin before hailing him.

You say, 'Hail, Callin Dawnpride'

Callin Dawnpride says, 'Oh! Thank the skies you got rid of that awful monster outside the house. I am Callin Dawnpride, adventurer... well, my FATHER wants me to be an adventurer. Personally, I think I would be much better fit as a minstrel, but noooo... I have to follow in his footsteps. Sigh... how am I ever going to get out of this [mess]?'

You say, 'Hmm, maybe I can help you. I'm listening.'

Callin Dawnpride says, 'You see, my father is a famous adventurer, and he thinks that I am destined to follow in his wake. For this reason, he has sent me out on a "Manhood" quest to test myself against the creatures of this forest... but it's dreadful! They're all large, and full of fangs and I didn't get very far before one of those giant bears started chasing me and I had to hide in here. I don't quite think I can return to father's without the items he sent me for though... hey... maybe you can [help out]? You DID get rid of the bear after all, you could probably do this. I'll make it worth your time, I promise!'

You say, 'Alright, I'll help you.'

Callin Dawnpride says, 'I'm saved! Please, listen. My father demanded that I get three items from this forest. The lock of a Najad's hair... I'm not sure what a Najad is, but I think he said they live in the lake somewhere around here, the leaves of an ancient treant... just look for a big walking tree. Finally, Royal Jelly from some kind of queen or king or whatever wasp. I don't even know where to begin to look for that! If you help me out, I'll give you this enchanted sword my father gave to me. I could probably convince him I'm better suited for a minstrel if I manage to pull this off anyways.'
