A Study of the Razad: Religion

Razadian religion is shamanistic and believes in spirits that inhabit all things that they call Katsina. Much of their philosophy is based on natural order and following the inherent laws of nature. They make Katsina dolls to represent these spiritual beings that are central to much of their religious practices. Katsina dolls are small figures that wear colorful masks and clothing. Katsina dolls are traditionally carved from the roots of trees and are usually about 5 to 8 inches tall. The mask is the most important part and is what identifies one Katsina from another.

The name for the Razadians religion is Katsinagara, which roughly translates in Common to 'path of the Katsina', which referrers to the way that the Katsina interact with the world and the balance that people, the Katisna, and nature must all be involved in.

There are many, many Katsina. Katsina are believed to manifest in rocks, trees, people, rivers, animals, and places. While Katsina are believed to be in all places, certain objects and places are designated for the interface of people and Katsina and these are considered sacred.
